It baffles me that we as humans hold so many conflicting double standards. We lambaste some folks for not being able to move on from their college lives at the same time as we commend others for maintaining their friendships over so many years. Some of it is due to changing perspectives over time and space, but other times we are just being judgmental.
Maintaining consistent viewpoints is hard. This is one of the reasons why I no longer claim to have "favorites". Everything changes, and everything stays the same. Thank you Heraclitus.
